Supported formats
SRT and WebVTT files up to 2 MB. Editor video preview uses a local browser-supported video and never uploads it.
Limits and safety
Files are read as untrusted text and kept in temporary browser memory. Very large files show a limited editor view, while whole-file operations still include every cue.
Subtitle privacy and publishing terms
Subtitle and optional preview-video files are processed only in this browser tab. Their contents are not uploaded, saved to an account, placed in browser storage or included in analytics. Temporary video URLs are released when you replace the video, clear the tool or close the tab.
Use only content you are authorized to edit. Keep your originals and verify timing, wording, sensitive information, accessibility requirements and the destination platform before publishing. Advanced WebVTT styling, regions and player-specific metadata may not be preserved. Review the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and Acceptable Use Policy.
Supported discovery extensions are .srt and .vtt. WebVTT recognition follows the required UTF-8 WEBVTT file signature documented in the latest published W3C WebVTT specification.
