Developer and security tools
Encoding is not encryption, a hash cannot be decrypted, and compatibility algorithms such as SHA-1 or CRC32 are not suitable for security decisions. JWT decoding does not verify a signature, issuer, audience or authenticity. Random strings, identifiers, parsed URLs and generated snippets must be reviewed for the security requirements of the system where they will be used. Do not treat tool output as a security certification.
